WHAT IS A Schmidt Hammer Test?

A Schmidt Rebound Hammer Test is a non-destructive method used to estimate the surface hardness of concrete by measuring how far a spring-loaded hammer rebounds after impact. It provides a quick indication of relative concrete strength and helps identify areas that may require further investigation or core testing.

HOW WE DO A Schmidt Hammer Test

We perform a Schmidt Rebound Hammer Test by positioning the spring-loaded hammer perpendicular to the concrete surface and taking a series of controlled impact readings across the area being evaluated. Our technicians record and average these rebound values on site, allowing us to quickly assess variations in surface hardness and identify potential weak spots without damaging the concrete.
